DESCRIPTION
Ultrabond Landscape Turf CG is a commercial-grade adhesive ideal for indoor and outdoor landscaping
synthetic turf installations. Ultrabond Landscape Turf CG has excellent all-weather resistance with superior
bond strength and can be used for full spread and seaming installations.

LIMITATIONS
▪ Do not install over any substrates containing asbestos.
▪ Do not install nonporous turf backing over nonporous surfaces.
▪ Ultrabond Landscape Turf CG is not intended for synthetic sports field applications.
▪ Use only when the substrate temperature is between 41°F and 95°F (5°C and 35°C), and when the ambient
relative humidity (RH) is between 20% and 80%. When the ambient RH is lower than 20%, longer curing
times can be expected.
SUITABLE SUBSTRATES
▪ Ultrabond Landscape Tape or manufacturer-recommended seaming tape
▪ Exterior-grade and marine-grade plywood as well as pressure-treated lumber
▪ Concrete
▪ Exterior-approved patching compounds and concrete repair products
▪ Fully cured asphaltic surfaces that are sound and free from contamination
Consult MAPEI’s Technical Services Department for installation recommendations regarding substrates and
conditions not listed.
SURFACE PREPARATION
▪ All substrates must be structurally sound, dry, solid and stable.
▪ The substrate should be clean and free of dust, dirt, oil, grease, paint, curing agents, concrete sealers, loosely
bonded toppings, loose particles, old adhesive residues, and any other substance or condition that may
prevent or reduce adhesion. All surfaces must be level, even, flat and smooth.
▪ Concrete as well as cement-based underlayments and patches must be fully cured and free of any
hydrostatic and/or moisture problems.
MIXING
Before product use, take appropriate safety precautions. Refer to the Safety Data Sheet for details.

PRODUCT APPLICATION
Read all installation instructions thoroughly before installation
1. Unroll and acclimate synthetic turf per manufacturer’s written instructions, to allow for reductions of
internal tensions caused by packaging and transport.
2. Select the appropriate notched trowel (see the “Approximate Coverage” chart below).
3. Spread adhesive evenly over the seaming tape or other suitable surface, keeping the trowel at a 45-degree
angle to the subfloor.
4. Only apply as much Ultrabond Landscape Turf CG as can be installed over within 30 minutes.
5. Install turf in strict accordance with the turf manufacturer’s written instructions.
6. Adhesive transfer to the backing should be confirmed periodically by lifting the turf.
7. Roll the turf with the recommended-weight roller across the width and length of the turf seam surface. If
needed, place weight on the turf seams to ensure proper bonding.
CLEAN-UP
▪ While the adhesive is still fresh/wet, promptly clean any adhesive smudges from the turf or tools with
Ultrabond Urethane Cleaner. Ultrabond Landscape Turf CG is extremely difficult to remove when cured.
PROTECTION
▪ Prevent foot traffic and rain exposure for 12 hours after the installation.
▪ Protect from heavy traffic for at least 24 hours after the installation.

** Working time is the maximum amount of time that an adhesive can remain exposed to the air and still
effectively bond to the floor covering.
*** Setting time is the window of time when adjustments can still be made to the position of the floor covering
without compromising the bond of the adhesive.
Flash time, working time and setting time vary based on temperature, humidity, surface porosity and jobsite
conditions. For example, high heat and humidity will reduce working time and setting time; low temperatures
and humidity will extend working time and setting time.
